Commentary Chapter 1; Reprise

Let us visit  Chapter 1 again and the Hebrew word Elohim, which is mostly translated God, but its primary meaning is magistrate. As I examine other ancient cultures, such as the Summerians. I am more apt to explore other interpretations for the first chapter of Genesis.

Elohim is a plural word, which denotes more than one. Since this is true, then quite possibly God/god is the wrong term to use to define this word and magistrate is a more accurate translation.

Since they were magistrates, then where did they come from, for us to think that they could be gods. They were from another world, if they made earth livable.

1.   In the beginning, the supreme magistrates, God, created, selected and fed the earth and the sky.

If we continue along our present premise, the magistrates really selected the earth and prepared it to inhabit life.

2.   The earth became a desolate and undistinguishable ruin, and destruction was upon the deep, and the anger of the magistrates brooded over the water.

In the process of preparation, something happenned to make it a ruin. What if there were two or more sects of magistrates?

Then it is possible that there was a disagreement between the sects and quite possible a war ensued and one of them won and the others were defeated. And the more powerful one became angry that the earth was in ruins.

3. The magistrates said, “Let there be lightning”; and there was lightning. “Let there be happiness, and there was happiness.”

4. “And the Magistrates saw that the lightning was good, the Magistrates separated the lightning and separated the darkness.”

5. And the magistrates called the light day (an age), and the darkness he called night and it became dusk and it became the dawn the first age.

6. The Magistrates said, “Let there be an atmosphere in the midst of the water, to exist and separate the water from the waters.

7. The Magistrates made the atmosphere, separated the waters which were below from the waters which were above and it came to pass, right and true.

8. The Magistrates called the extended surface the sky, it became dusk, it became dawn, the second age.

9. And the Magistrates said, bind the waters underneath the sky in an united locality, to see the dry ground come to pass, it was so.

10. The magistrates called the dry ground the firm earth and the collection of waters they called seas, and the magistrates had gladness.

11. And the Magistrates said, let the earth sprout, sprouts and grasses, to glisten green, that would sow plants and fruit and trees with fruit that make fruit according to its species, which sow upon the ground on the earth and it became so.

12. And the earth brought out sprouts and grass to sow plants according to their species and made trees with fruit to sow according to their species and the Magistrates saw that it was good.

13. It became dusk, it became morning the third age.

14. And the Magistrates said let luminaries come to be in the lofty firmament to divide between the day and between the night and will become a signal of the festivals and appointments, and days and years.

15. Let luminaries exist in the lofty firmament to be luminous upon the earth and it became so.

16. The Magistrates made two great luminaries, one great luminous body to rule the day, the diminutive luminous body to rule the night with the stars.

17. And the Magistrates put them in the expanse of the lofty sky to illuminate the earth.

18. And to rule by the day and by the night and to distinguish between the light and between the darkness, the Magistrates saw that is was good.

19. And it became dusk and it became morning the fourth age.

20. And the Magistrates said, let the waters swarm with swarms of breathing living creatures, and let birds fly over the face of the earth in the expanse of the heavens.

21. The Magistrates created the great sea serpents and all living creatures that live which swarm and wriggle in the water according to their species and every bird according to their species and the Magistrates saw that it was good.

22. And the Magistrates blessed them saying bear fruit, abundantly fill the waters of the seas and rivers and let birds be abundant on the earth.

23.   And it became evening, and it became morning the fifth age.

The verses depict what it took to have the Earth capable of supporting life. The magistrates used their technology to teraform the earth, by quite possibly moving the earth to adjust its orbit and rotation to be able to support life, for whatever they needed the earth to be.

24. And the Magistrates said, “Let the earth bring out living creatures alive according to their species, dumb beast and swarming animals and living beast on the earth according to their species and it came to pass, hence it was so.

25. The Magistrates made life on the earth according to their species and dumb beast according to their species and every swarming animal on the soil according to their species and the Magistrates saw that it was good.

26. And the Magistrates said “Let us make ruddy blushing human beings in our resemblance like our shape to subjugate the fish of the seas and the birds of the sky and the dumb beast of the whole earth and the creeping things that creep on the earth.

27. And the Magistrates created human beings in their resemblance, in their resemblance the Magistrates created them, male and female, created them.

28. And the Magistrates blessed them and the Magistrates said to them bear fruit in large numbers filling the earth to dominate and subjugate all fish of the seas and birds of the sky, hence all life that crawls on the earth.

29. And the Magistrates spoke hither, “I give to you every grass seeding seed, which is upon the face of the whole earth and of all the trees in which is the fruit of the trees seeding seed and to you it becomes food.

30. And all life on the earth and all birds of the sky and all swarming animals upon the earth in which life breathed, all green grass for food and it was so.

31. And the Magistrates saw the whole of that which themselves accomplished, it was agreeably wholly good, and it became dusk and it became morning, the sixth age.

Then they used their technology to bring forth animals of all sorts. They even used their own DNA to make humans, for the purpose of  subjugating the animals and doing whatever job they wanted us to do.
