וּמֵעֵץ הַדַּעַת טֹוב וָרָע לֹא תֹאכַל מִמֶּנּוּ כִּי

בְּיֹום אֲכָלְךָ מִמֶּנּוּ מֹות תָּמֽוּת׃

but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die." NASB

But of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat of it, for on the day that you eat thereof, you shall surely die." Traditional Jewish Translation

6086 –וּמֵעֵץ– uma-ets – a tree, hence wood.

1847 –הַדַּעַת– hada-ath – knowledge.

2896 –טֹוב– towb – good, goodness, beauty, gladness, welfare.

7451 – 7455 –וָרָע– vara – bad or evil; a crash (of thunder), noise (of war), shout (of joy); an associate; a thought (as an association of ideas); badness (as marring).

3808 – 3809 –לֹא– lo – not; no; Chaldean: law.

398 – 401 –תֹאכַל– thakal – to eat; food; devoured; a name, Ucal.

4478 – 4482 –מִמֶּנּוּ– mamanow – a whatness; manna; who or what; a part of; from or out of; to apportion; a part; hence a musical chord.

3588 –כִּי– Kiy – a particle indicating causal relations of all kinds, antecedent or consequent. Very widely used as a rel. conj. or adv.

3117 –בְּיֹום– bayowm – to be hot, a day (from sunrise to sunset) or (a space in time defined by associated terms), (an age).

398 – 401 –אֲכָלְךָ– akalak – to eat; food; devoured; a name, Ucal.

4478 – 4482 –מִמֶּנּוּ– mamanow – a whatness; manna; who or what; a part of; from or out of; to apportion; a part; hence a musical chord.

4191 – 4194 –מֹות– muwth – to die; to kill; death; the dead, their place or state, figurative pestilence, ruin.
