2. Now the earth was astonishingly empty, and darkness was on the face of the deep, and the spirit of God was hovering over the face of the water.

There are many other possible translations, all of them different from the traditional translation. Who is to say that the traditional translation is the correct one? In my opinion, this could even be a valid translation:
The earth became a desolate and undistinguishable ruin, and destruction was upon the face of the deep, and the anger of the magistrates brooded over the face of the water.
What if that is the correct translation?

Genesis 1:1
The Bible has been accepted by most people as a religious book, given to us by the Creator, telling us how to live for the Christian faith and the Jewish faith. There is nothing inherently wrong in that line of thinking. But what if the Creator meant the book to be read and understood by all of mankind no matter where they live.
It is my contention that the Bible is an instruction manual on how to live in a community. If you translate the Bible from the Hebrew with that in mind you will have a different mindset for living your life.
Below is my attempt at translating the Bible differently. I am translating it into an instruction manual, instead of a religious book. In translating it in this manner, you will see that there is a natural reason for doing things and not just a religious reason for doing it. The natural reason shows you that your physical health depends on you following the principles set down in the Bible.
I tried to put the Hebrew on this blog, but I was unsuccessful in cutting and pasting from my Word Program, so I have to spell the words phonetically.
Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֵת הָאָֽרֶץ׃
7225 --1254--430 -852--8064 ---852--776
בְּרֵאשִׁית--7225 - barashit – The first, in place, time, order or rank.
בָּרָא--1254 - Bara – to create, to cut down (ie. wood), select, feed (as a formative process).
אֱלֹהִים--430 - Elohim – Gods, supreme God, magistrates.
אֵת--852 – 855 – ath – A portent, (derived from 226) a sense of entity, prop. Self, used to point out more def. the object of a verb. Nearness, near; hence gen. with, by at, among, etc. a hoe or other digging implement.
הַשָּׁמַיִם--8064 - Hashamiam – to be lofty, the sky
הָאָֽרֶץ--776 - Ha-eretz – to be firm, the earth.
This passage could very well be translated just as it is, but could it be translated any different? It could be translated, In the first place, the supreme magistrates selected the earth and the sky. Or. In the first place, the supreme magistrates fed the earth and the sky. Or maybe all three are correct, In the beginning, the supreme magistrates, God, created, selected and fed the earth and the sky.

Lies
There are several kinds of lies that are told (now you may not want to read this, but not all lies are bad or wrong), there are lies of greed, lies of protection, lies to hide things, lies of omission, lies of self deception, destructive lies, constructive lies and rumors. This list is not meant to be all inclusive. You might be able to think of a category of lies I have not listed.
Lies of greed could be classified as lies used to achieve personal gain. These are the lies a con man would use. These lies are not good. They are designed to steal from the victim of the lie. Lies of greed are always wrong.
An example of a lie of greed is the one a thief would tell. A man would told this couple he could fix the roof of their house with new material. They hired him. Instead of using new material like he said, he used slightly used material that cost him less than new stuff would have cost. The slightly used material would not last as long as the brand new material would have lasted. This lie robbed the hearer of years of protection and assurance a new roof would have granted them. This lie gave the teller more money, but it gave the hearer less substance than they thought they thought they were going to receive.
Lies of protection are designed to protect the liar or the object of the lie. An example of a lie of protection would be the lie Rahab used in Jericho to protect the two Israelite spies mentioned in the Bible, in Joshua 2. Another lie of protection was spoken by the Hebrew Midwives in Egypt, who lied to protect the Hebrew slaves around the time Moses was born. Another example of lies of protection are ones told by children to avoid being punished. The teller of lies of protection, mentioned in the Bible, were never punished, on the other hand they were rewarded for lying, by the Creator or the people for whom they lied.
Lies told to hide things are told to those who have no right or need to know the things lied about, such as military secrets, or secret societies or one that we would not think are lies, but they are there, and these are the lies told in the Bible about the nature of the Creator, which is the nature of the literary work.
Lies of omission are things that are left out of a story we tell someone. These are things we do not want to tell the hearer for whatever reason. Things we do not want them to know so we omit them from the story. Things we want to keep hidden. The Bible is full of lies of omission; lies of omission about the Creator, about Yahoshua, about the devil and about the true nature of the adversary. These are not bad lies. These are truths that are not necessary to be told, but to be discovered by a believer truly searching for the truth. These are lies that are told to test the true nature of the loyalty of the believer.
An example of bad lies of omission is lies told by salesman who are trying to upsell a product. A business has several ways of making an object for their customer, but they only tell their customers the two most expensive ways, unless the customer is aware of the more inexpensive manner. If the customer is unaware of the lower priced ways, they do not inform them. That is a lie of omission.
Lies of self deception are lies told that deceive the teller. They can be as sophomoric as lies of how skinny you are not or as how intelligent you are not. Lies of deception are lies someone tells them self to make them feel better about themselves. Sometimes they are told when someone places them self above someone else so that they can judge their actions. When someone sits in judgment of someone’s actions, that person must be in some position of authority over that someone, such as the Creator, a parent, a boss, a judge or a jury. Otherwise every one is an equal and has no right to judge another. There is no one who is so perfect as to be able to place themselves above another individual to judge their actions. So when someone points out someone else’s error and judges them as being wrong. They are telling themselves the lie that they are better then the person they are judging. These lies can destroy relationship and can even destroy another person’s self esteem.
The epitome of self deception is in scientists who think they can improve what the Creator has made without incurring any adverse consequences. They are deluding themselves; by thinking they are smarter than the Creator.
Destructive lies are lies told to destroy some one’s life and character. These are the lies told about somebody we do not like. They are rumors. These are the lies involved in breaking the ninth commandment. There is never a good reason to tell this kind of lie.
Lies have a natural consequence. Lies of every nature divide the teller from the hearer. When you trust someone enough not to tell them any lies, you draw them closer to yourself. On the other hand, if you have to tell them a lie to keep them close, you build a wall around your life or certain part of your life that separates you from them. The consequence of lies is separation.

What is a Naturalist
A Naturalist is someone who views things in the way Nature intended them to be viewed. There are many ways to view things; among those ways is religiously or through the eye of anarchism. One who views things religiously is one who views things through the eyes of religion. While the anarchist views things with no order.
The Naturalist understands the natural order of things. They know that there is a reason for everything and it is all based around the laws of nature, which they believe are the true laws of the Creator, the law of gravity, the law of consequence to name a few.
They also look at every situation that a person could be involved with, and know that there is a natural solution to a problem or a natural way to deal with it, whether it may be a physical ailment or what you might want to wear or eat for a meal. All of these views can be backed up by studying the Bible from a Naturalist point of view, which is what we will be examining in the literary work. In particular, I base everything on this one premise, Micah 6:8, He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does yy require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?
There was a story I had read about a baby being born prematurely to a drug addicted mother. The baby was born with several problems of which hospital doctors were trying their best to fix. The mother had abandoned the baby and the parents who first wanted to adopt the baby had backed out, but the doctors still did all they could to save this infant. Eventually a couple came along that would take up the challenge of caring for this baby.
In a naturalist world, the baby would have died. I know this sounds cold and cruel, but it is part a nature, part of life. By the doctors practicing God, they upset the natural course of things and the lives of everyone around the area, because somebody has to pay for the care of that child. Nothing is for free.
Doctors and scientists play or practice God almost everyday of their working life. They are constantly thinking of ways to make our lives “better”, but they often create other problems, while trying to fix another problem.
For instance, scientist wanted to make a stronger silk so they took the Gypsy moth from its natural habitat and placed them in America to produce their silk and soon discovered that their silk was not that good. As a result they released them back into the wild, but instead of taking them all back to their natural habitat, they released them into the wild of America and created an epidemic, because there were no natural predators to the Gypsy moth and to this day there is still a problem with the Gypsy moth.
See, here you had a group of scientist not walking humbly with the Creator. They thought they knew more than the Creator. There was a reason the Gypsy moth were not in the United States of America and it should have stayed that way. Hence, it is the same thing with a lot of the projects the scientist endeavor to start and complete. They experiment with the DNA of plants and animal to make what they think are better strains of plants and animals, but in reality they are destroying our own ecosystem. We grow crops that we can not properly digest. We have cattle for food that altar our genetic makeup. Hence, we have a shorter lifespan and we have people dieing of cancers we have never heard of.
Man has eaten from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and now man has the power to be the Creator, but man does not have the wisdom to be the Creator. That is the curse of eating from that tree. Another result of that action is this, I believe the Creator has stepped back from taking an active role in our lives, because man has said that they can do a better job and as a result the Creator has said “Okay, go ahead and prove it.” Man still has not learned, even after Thousands of years of trying to be the Creator. They try to be the creator by making better crops, by genetically modifying the vegetables. They are also cloning animals. They are also changing the way the farmer plants their crops which in the end depletes the crops of valuable nutrients, which in the end makes for an unhealthy populace.
Man has to get back to understanding the way the Creator had intended man to live. The Bible can be translated so that it is not a religious book, but a manual on how to live a healthy, peaceful and prosper life, in harmony with his neighbor and in harmony with nature. So that mankind can live a long and fulfilling life.

"Naturally", I Believe
“Naturally”, I Believe
I am starting this blog to meet people who believe similar to me.
I am considering this “the road” and you are somebody who stopped to talk and to listen to me as you travel down this Road. I hope that through this exchange we may get to know each other better and become friends and meet others who believe the same.
I will be posting ideas that I have been thinking about for the longest of times. I will also try to convey what lead me to the conclusions that I have drawn. Maybe your thoughts and comments will hone and soften my view to bring about a clearer picture of where we should be on this Road.
So, please join with me on the quest. Feel free to post your thoughts. There will be no condemnation for reasoned thought and valid experience.
It may appear that some thought will contradict another. That is okay, because in life we learn thing that change our way of thinking. That does not negate past thoughts. It just show the way we have arrived at where we are, and how we used to be verses what we are today.
Each entry will be dated so that we can see the progression of our thoughts and interactions. There will be some bold explorations and expressions of thoughts. So, have courage there is a purpose to my sanity or madness as some would see it.
So, let us discover the truth together.
